This picture was born to prove myself on matte painting so the original idea was to paint just a matte without a specific subject.
Then I got the idea of this scene from Lord of the Rings and panted the whole picure trying to create the same atmosphere of the book.
The story behind the picture is about the Entwives (the character at the left) leaving the Ents in their woods. They will go to the west preferring agricolture to wild life in the forest.
